Campbell McAllister was the son of Isabella Watson, née Martin, and Campbell McAllister. Campbell Jnr was born in 1873 when the family was still living in Scotland. In 1875 the family took the opportunity of Assisted Immigration, and sailed on the City of Dunedin to New Zealand. In September 1876, when the family was living in Cosy Dell, Dunedin, tragedy struck and Campbell Jnr, aged 2 years and 10 months, died of scarlet fever. He is buried with his father here in the cemetery.
