Jessie Hall Tannock née Stirling (c.1874 -1931) Jessie Hall Stirling was born in England. Jessie lived for a time in Scotland before emigrating to New Zealand and marrying her fiancé David Tannock in Invercargill on 4th March 1904. David was the Superintendent of Garden and Reserves for Dunedin, and they lived in a new house built for them in the Upper Botanic Garden. Jessie died on June 16th 1931 at the age of 57 after a long illness. She is buried here in the Northern Cemetery with two of her children, David jnr and Robin, who sadly both died in childhood.
