Elizabeth Connell Cummock was born in 1861 in Glasgow, Scotland to John and Jane Cummock (nee Watson). She came to New Zealand in 1864 aboard the “Hamilla Mitchell” with her mother and younger sister Jane. Elizabeth was three years old.

Elizabeth married Andrew Watson McLean on 28th July 1882 in Dunedin. They had six children – Jane, Alexander, John, Charles, Pearl and Ruby.

Elizabeth’s last address was 443 Princess Street, Dunedin. She died on 21st June 1912 aged 51 years.
