Elizabeth, née Gibson, married John McConnochie on 21st October 1851 at St Pauls in Auckland. John was born in 1827 in Scotland and came to New Zealand with his parents in 1842 aged 15 years on the Duchess of Argyll, landing in Auckland. He was a stonemason by trade. Elizabeth resided at the residence of Colonel Mould.
