William Dowle, was born 7 September 1841 in England and died 9 September 1930 in Dunedin. He was married to Margaret Sarah Dowle who was born 15 April 1847 at Woolaston, Glouchestershire, England and who died 16 February 1928. Their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Eleanor Duncan, was born 30 August 1871 at Woolaton and died 1 July 1928 in Dunedin. Their youngest daughter, Laura Victoria Beattie was born 7 April 1887 at Waipori and died in Dunedin in 1980. He died 9 September 1930 in Dunedin.
