ELIZABETH SHERRIFF 1856 – 1902

Born c.1856 in Peebles, Scotland, the daughter of William Rankin and
Elizabeth Laidlaw. She came to New Zealand with her parents as a small child
in 1860 on the ship “Henderson’. She married Robert Sherriff in Dunedin in
1868, they had 10 children, Willian, Thomas, John, Lily Jane, Jessie Allan,
Elizabeth (Bessie), Isabella, Robert, Edward and Maggie. Robert Sherriff
died in 1902.
